Zen Remedy: Branding

We first branded Zen Remedy in 2006 and have been working with them on their web endeavors ever since. After 10 years, it was time for a complete refresh and reboot of the brand, so in early 2017 we revamped Zen Remedy’s look and feel to match the org’s new direction: the philanthropic promotion of all that is green and good — for the body and for the planet.
The original logo had a lotus flower as the main symbol. We kept the lotus but restyled it and placed it in the center of the symbol to represent the crown chakra — the body’s center for trust, devotion, inspiration, happiness and positivity. The “way of the crown chakra” transcends the ego, and realizes that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level. Zen Remedy is all about connecting people through the common purpose of making the world a better place through charitable acts and giving back to the community.
The image mark overall is reminiscent of tools that shamans and traditional healers use, and has elements that are meant to represent the trinity of spirit, mind, body (the triangle), endurance, perseverance, peace, love and hope (diamonds).
